Galuwen released another arrow when she heard the sound of more arrows cutting through the air. Ones that were not hers. She caught a glimps of the archer and could not help but to smile. As much as she hatted to admit it she did care for him. It had been too long since she had seen him and her worried heart eased at that moment. She watch the two she-elves fight on the ground as Linwelos came closed to the trees where she was. Galuwen smiled faded as she saw the prince being circled by orcs. Without wasting any time she jumped to another branch the jumped towards him. She landed within the circle of Orcs in front of Legolas. She did not have a long sword and often found she did not need one. She stabbed one orc in the face with an arrow then used the same arrow to fire at another. A move he had taught her. Galuwen kicked one that had came to close to her. Then punched another in the face. She was grabbed by the neck. The orc sliced her arm with it's dull blade just as she managed to get free. Stepping back closer to the prince she fired another arrow.

Legolas stood in a mix of awe and shock as he saw the she elf taking down orcs swiftly, he was quite relieved to not be dead right now. But his moment of relief and awe was cut down as quickly as the orcish blade cut through Galuwen's arm, she backed closer to him and he decided he had better do something. He sheathed his sword and drew his bow, adding to his kill tally and also trying to shoot a way out, he drilled a hole in the orc circle, but when he reached for another arrow and missed it, slowing him down an orc stepped up and sliced at him, he jumped back but he was too slow, there was a cut along his chest, straight through his green robes. He drew the arrow properly and slammed it into the orcs face in anger. He shot another five arrows until he ran out. Legolas whipped his bow across an orc and then reached across into Galuwen's quiver and took and arrow, firing into an orc scalp almost instantly, an orc came unto him quickly with a downstroke, there was no time to do anything so Legolas held his bow out to parry. The sword went straight through the string but was stopped on the light but remarkably strong elven wood, Legolas flicked away the orc's sword and stabbed him with his sword. He threw the now useless bow at the horde of orcs and started killing them swiftly with his sword, Legolas let out a rippling whistle. His horse, Shadowmere, which was found in Dol Guldur, game running through the trees to him. He got on his horse and liften Galuwen up behind him and they rode around the horde and back to Linwelin, who was having her own troubles.

:: Leithianor had his ears pinned back and strong hooves alternating between pawing at the forest floor and slicing through the air, usually in the direction of an orc that was getting too close. Reins were resting along the horses neck as she could still control her mount through changes in leg pressure to indicate to the powerful animal what she wished of him to do as far as change of direction went. In her hands would be her bow firing quickly at the wave of orcs that would try to surround her and her mount.
The large grey in constant motion as his rider continued to drop orcs as they would fall once the killing blow had been made. While panic never appeared in her features the growing party made her wonder just how many of them their were. Feeling her mount kick out his back hooves and have them connect with an orc sending it flying back into several others sending them to the ground in a heap. Elegantly pointed ears heard an arrow being released and would lay back on the horses haunches as the arrow flew overtop of her to land in a tree. Having locked onto where it had been fired from she drew back her own bow and released an arrow that landed right between the orcs eyes. Sitting back up when she saw another approaching from behind and giving the slightest nudge to her mount for him to kick. Bow poised to fire another arrow once the movement of the horse had ceased and beginning to fire at the orcs coming closer and sending them back to meet their dark maker.:: -d-

As the small group that Yregh had sent forward began to fall he gave the signal for more to advance towards the elves. It was risky yes engaging the elves on their own ground but orders were orders. When the 4th elf joined the fray the signal was given for more to advance as those that were advancing were falling just as quickly from the barrage of arrows and swords.
He knew that retreating would lead to bad things happening and didn't want to do that unless there was no other option. Luckily the orcs had one other trick up their sleeve. However *it* wasn't nearby yet to be effective on the fray. A large troll shackled and being difficult to work through the woods that was not a happy camper and wanted turned loose. Such evident by the heavy footfalls and shaking of trees as they walked which would stir up any spiders or big uglies hiding within the large forest trees of Mirkwood.

Legolas quickle dismounted Shadowmere and drew his sword, the orcs were on him instantly, he cut one open, another he thrust his sword into and a third he sliced the throat of. He looked over at Galuwen who was slaughtering orcs beside him, he went back to his own fight, slicing an orc in two and slamming another orc into a tree. Legolas ripped a combination of strokes onto these orcs which left them either dead or wounded on the forest floor, he then heard a strange sound, a horrific cry from afar in the woods. Darkness was upon them and they were running out of energy, the elves could not hold out forever. Legolas had to do something, he quickly mounted Shadowmere and called for Linwelin to follow him, he rode off into the darkening woods yelling insults at the orcs. At least forty of them followed, leaving the rest behind with the she elves.
Legolas rode through the forest swiftly, narrowly missing trees and debris on the forest floor. He was losing the orcs behind, but there came shouting in front of him. All of a sudden a huge rush of orcs led by a forest troll came running at him. Legolas hit the wall of orcs and was knocked off shadowmere near instantly, he landed in a group of orcs at the trolls feet, with his sword on the ground twenty metres away.

Galuwen held onto Legolas with one arm as the other was still damaged from the orcs blade. "Le abdollen," Galuwen said with a smile. She could feel the blood soaking his tunic from his chest wound as they rode on his horse but did not get too fair. She jumped off the mount as did Legolas. Fighting anything that came close. But her wound made it painful to fire a bow. She back up against the trees to try and give some distance between her and the orcs. She was scared for the first time for as long as she could remember.
She had just enough time to see Legolas jump onto his horse and ride into the woods back towards Mirkwood. The gauds had to be warned and she knew that was what he was doing, saving his Kingdom. The orcs gave chase.
Galuwen jumped back up onto the branch were she would not be followed. And it worked for the moment. She screamed as she watched the orcs tear apart her horse. A tear fell from her eyes. Why was this happen to them and to her home. She knew in her heart that Mirkwood would never be the same.
A loud sound came from were Legolas was riding towards. A beast of some short and by the sound of it's voice and movements it was large. "Linwelos!" She screamed. "The Prince!" She felt helpless without a horse and the use of her bow. Galuwen did the only thing she could do. She hid in the tree leaves as she watched orcs start to climb. She started to think of everything she had regretted in her long life. She wished she had more time with her friends and hoped to the Vala that she was not about to see them die. And she wanted to tell Legolas how she felt about him. And tell the King that he was wrong about some things.
"o menel palan-diriel, le nallon sí di-nguruthos! A tiro nin, Fanuilos!" She cried. (from heaven gazing afar, to thee I cry now in (lit. beneath) the shadow of death! O watch over me.”

::Elegantly pointed ears would hear her friends screamed words. Using leg pressure to signal her mount to turn about he would be spurred forward. Seeing her brother upon the ground and the large troll and group of orcs approaching she would fire am arrow in a arc into the sky only to have it land several feet before her brother. As it sailed through the air she would say in a chanting voice "Anar anaroore anrrima anarya ankalima alka!."
From where the arrow pierced the ground a radiating light would fill the area pushing back the shadows and blinding those that came towards The Crown Prince of Mirkwood. With the approaching orcs and troll momentarily stunned she maneuvered herself between the blinding light and where Legolas had landed on the ground. Such magics she rarely used and only in instances such as this when killing everything wasn't physically possible for just her. Hooves echoed over the forest floor until she reached where Legolas lay. A hand extended down from where she sat to help her brother to his feet and onto her mount so they could continue to warn the guard and gather reinforcements to battle the darkness that had come into the Forest of Mirkwood.::

(My account is being messed so it's still Legolas guys)
Legolas rose slowly, his vision was blurred and Orcs ran around furiously. He drew his sword and stumbled to his sister, she said something to him but he couldn't understand it. She turned and took down the incoming Orcs. Legolas stumbled around blindly for a few seconds, until he heared the troll let out a mighty roar. That brought him to his senses, his bow was still broken so he started to back down. Legolas held up his sword readily, his vision was till blurred. The troll swung at him with his club, Legolas stepped back, letting the club narrowly miss him, the troll followed up with a backswing, Legolas pulled up his sword and tried to deflect the attack, it was in vain. His sword was knocked from his hands and sent flying into the bushes, Legolas was knocked to the ground. Breathing heavily he rose, only to meet the trolls club again, this time sending him flying into a tree, knocking him unconsious.

At that moment Galuwen knew she would rather die trying to save her friends them sit cowering in a tree watching her friends fall. They had to make it back to Mirkwood but that would mean the orcs would follow them straight unto the Woodland Realm. "Fall back Aearwen" She called down to her friend. Galuwen jumped effortly from tree to tree. Heading back in the direction that Legolas and Linwelos were heading in. She stopped suddenly. Her elven orbs gazed at the saddened sight. Legolas's limp body draped on a branch in front of her. She ran to him as quickly as she could. Her mind was a blur of emotions. She fought to control them. Galuwen was able to pull him off the branch and onto a wider part so he could lay flat. The branch was soaked in his blood. "Legolas." She called as she knelt down beside him. He was not moving and covered in wounds. "Legolas, please come back." She touched his face and smiled. It was a forced smile cause inside she was dying. She used some of her cloth to quickly wipe the blood anywhere she could. Then ripped the sleeves, using the fabric to hold against his chest in hopes to stop the bleeding. "Am so sorry mellon nin. I should not have given into my fears." In her mind she wondered if she had not fled to the tree that he would still be fighting. "The realm needs you, your people need you.Your sister needs you. The King needs you." She paused to take his hand onto hers. "I need you. The battle ranged on beneath her but she did not care. At that moment she did not care about anything. If an orc was behind her she would have begged it to kill her. Tears fell like snow from her eyes as she looked down at his unmoving beaten form.

::She would bring her mount back several paces as crystal blue hues burned with fire. Readying a shot with her bow she aimed it directly at one of the trolls eyes. Releasing the arrow in hopes that once both its eyes were removed it would become disoriented and help them in a way by killing some of the orcs as it would flail. Leaving the orcs to have to fend off their own weapon rather than worry about the elves. Once the arrow was released and the loud scream come from the troll as vision in one eye was lost she quickly readied another arrow for its other eye. Seeing Galuwen checking on her brother and not seeing an orc near them at present her attention focused on the troll and pulled the arrow back and let it fly.
She would shoot down some orcs in rapid fire succession as she moved her mount between Legolas and Galuwen to keep them from harm. Elegantly pointed ears heard the sounds that her shot had been a success as the troll bellowed in rage at not having sight once more. Its mighty club smashing into the forest floor and hitting orcs around it sending them flying in scattered directions until their still forms connected with the ground with a heavy thud. She would say to Galuwen as she continued focusing on orcs with her bow.::
Le salpa ho rokko nîn? (Can you get him on my horse?)
::She would take the 3 of them out of here while the orcs were focused on the troll killing members on its own side if she could get the prince up and with her help onto the large grey horse.:: -d-

While Galuwen was tending to Legolas Shadowmere sensed something was up, he bolted towards them and his suspicions were confirmed. He gestured for Legolas to be put atop him, Galuwen took the hint and lifted the unconscious Legolas into his horse. Shadowmere ran swiftly, so swiftly that even the Orcs didn't notice him race past them. Shadowmere left everyone behind in a dark shadow, he took Legolas into the Woodland Realm and to the Capital. He went straight through the open gates to the where the Healers were held, he bust through the door and took Legolas to a healer. Legolas was laid down on a table and tended to, while the others were still out fighting in the South.

"I think his own horse has taken care of that," She called to Linwelos. She watched the horse leave with Legolas still unconscious. Just as her elven ears heard a familiar sound in the air, The horn of Mirkwood. She felt like she could breath again as the woods were filled with elves. Taken down the orcs in numbers. With the danger easing up her thoughts turned to the Prince. Galuwen jumped onto the soil and made her way toward Linwelos. Tears still in her eyes. She pushed an orc out of her way just as an arrow pierced it's skull. Everything seemed to slow as chaos was all around her. She wanted to tell her at that moment that she loved her brother and wanted someone else to know. Elves were dying but their numbers held. She wondered about Aearwen, if she was still alive. "The prince. The tree is cover in his blood." She said as she approached the Princess. "The wound in his chest has opened." She breathed in the smell of blood and orcs. "I have to go to him." She was not worried about her own wound. "I lov---" An orc ran up and drove a sword through her back, keeping her from finishing. The blade came through her stomach as blood dripped from her mouth. She collapsed on the ground.

::As the sound of the horn met her ears she was relieved in the fact that help was coming. She continued to fire off shots in rapid fire succession downing orcs left and right as the more and more members of the guard swarmed the area. She was worried about her brother, yes but by now he was most likely getting the aid he needed from the healers of the realm. Her gaze turned towards. Her mount kicking out and felling another orc as she waited for the horse to settle so that the trajectory of her arrows wouldn't miss their target. Hearing an arrow released she would lay backward as it would find its mark in the tree nearby and release an arrow at the one who shot it. Seeing it find its mark between the orcs eyes she would turn back to Galuwen who was approaching her.
In that moment it was as if time slowed. She saw the orc coming and reached back to pluck an arrow from her quiver and secure it against the string quickly pulling it back and letting it fly at the same time the sword was pushed through her best friend. both the orc and the elf fell to the ground at the same time. Swinging her right leg over her horses back and landing on the forest floor she would race to her best friend. Seeing the orc that had killed her not moving she would put a hand over the wound once the blade had been removed. Healing wasn't a skill she had extensive training in but she hoped what little healing spells she did know could keep her friend alive until she could take her to the healing houses. The blood of her friend warming her hands and coating them crimson as she would chant softly.:: ambar aire anar nulla urwa nu kelva tulka!.
::when the staunch of blood would begin to slow from the wound she would whistle for the horse to drop to its knees so it would be easier for her to get her friend upon him. As the animal did as it was told she too would climb up after keeping an arm around her friend to keep her from jostling much and spurring her horse towards where the healing houses were. Hardly flinching as an arrow struck her in the back of her right shoulder her main worry was her friend and her brother. spurring the grey as fast as he could run bearing the 2 of them through the woods. She still felt the trickle of blood between her fingers from the wound her friend had sustained but not like it had initially. Thank the Valar. The grey ran with ears pinned back, sensing that all his speed was needed to make haste through the woods. Rhythmic cadence of hooves fell over the forest floor until they reached her home. Bypassing the keep where her father sat she steered her mount towards the healers dwelling and saw the door already open.
Ducking as her mount came through bearing the 2 elves and finally stopping as ladies of the healing house that weren't working on her brother took Galuwen to tend to her. One tried to work on her but she refused as the other 2 were in more need of aid than she. Dismounting the horse as he would trot outside towards the stables leaving Lin to pace anxiously nearby as the women went to work.:: -d-

Long RP done on aol to add. First off is Thranduil and Linwelos then leading into the introduction of our newest member on the site :-D ____________________________________________________________________________________________
Thranduil [5:23 P.M.]: ::Within the Houses of Healing in th e Woodland Realm athelas was being administered to both Galuwen and Legolas to tend to their wounds. Sure, their wounds were not as bad as they could have been, but orkish arrows are known to not only be forged of the same stuff as evil mormegil blades but were known to be dipped in the poisons of the fey spiders of this realm, all the children of Shelob left to be fruitful and multiply when Greenwood became haunted into Mirkwood. The healers used water and the great herb to help revive the two in a slow but sure process of recovery. And behind ehr the ever tall Elvenking of the Woodland Realm came walking in. Thranduil was most distraught at the harming of his first ever child by orkish arrows, and he could only conclude that it was some build up of their thuggish kind within the Hill of Sorcery, or Dol Guldur, once more, since the Goblin Orcs of the Misty Mountains hardly came to these parts to harass the Woodland Realm. But the news that probably more angered him than anything was what one of his heralds was told regarding his precious daughter, practically a newborn still with regard to her age, and the only remaining piece of his beloved Calwanel who still resided in Middle Earth. And a stern but gentle voice called to her from behind and said:: "You and I will talk now, Linwelos..." ::fully expecting her to obey as he would then murmur:: "Now..." x
Linwelos [5:31 P.M.]: ::her pacing stopped when she heard her fathers voice. she should have figured someone would have notified him of her brother being brought in. but worry had blocked that from her mind. pivoting to face her father she would say to him in a quiet tone.:: as you wish, ada. ::Unsure if they would speak there or elsewhere. waiting to see where this discussion would be occuring at. Sure she may be the youngest of the family but the results could have been much worse had she not of been there.::
Thranduil (5:37pm): ::And into the greatness of Thranduil's Halls he began to walk beside her. Great pillars of stone carved like mellyrn were present upon walls innumerable, just like the grand caverns of Menegroth that he resided in so very long ago now. Lights aplenty of lanterns and lamp provided gentle illumination n the halls and flowers and grasses of all kinds adorned in decoration to give the organic feel to Thranduil's splendour. In his hand he held a cup of white mead and would hand it to his daughter to drink and said:: "Calmly drink this first, and then explain to me just how you think I would have been alright with you charging off into the blackened leaves of haunted Mirkwood to attend to your brother." ::When Thranduil was angry he was actually as calm as could be; it was the serious tone of forbidding d**nation in his voice that could chill even the bones of any, whether Eldar, Sindar or anything else. His feet lightly padding the ground as Silvan folk about were attending to what duties they may:: x
linwelos (5:45pm): ::she would take the cup given and take a small sip to calm her nerves. When. He spoke that sunkissed head of hers shook and she would reply:: I did not charge off after Legolas. I was riding in the woods and came across Galuwen and her friend Aearwen. It was when we were talking the first band showed up. Legolas had been not far away and heard the commotion within the wood and found himself within the chaos. ::she would reply as calmly as could be after being shaken with worry for the 2 in the healing houses. Raising the cup to her lips for another drink as he processed her words that had been spoken:: -d-
Thranduil (5:53pm): ::in an airway of the Hall there was light beckoned down from a crystalline window that saw to the hallowed starso f Varda at Night, and the great Sun by day. He stopped there as she relayed the tale of them innocently in the midst of all this great rout with the orcs and it troubled him so to think that any attack should come. If from Dol Guldur it means that they were eing led again, but by whom? This so-called Necromancer? If by the Misty Mountains it were Goblins then it was just as troubling. One way or another the tidings were not good but at least he was glad to see she was not recklessly endangering herself. But still, Thranduil was one who still had sorrow in his heart that Calwanel foolishly looked upon the sea during her journey to Dol Amroth south of the White Mountains one day and from that her yearning to head for the Undying West brought them asunder. Sure, it was not the Elven way to always be in one's company, but the yearning never hit him to head for the West and as such it made him perhaps...well, clingy to his most precious one. And as he would listen to the story he would then nod:: "You are fortunate to have even come out alive...but what is this news that you took up arms against them too? Do you really insist on causing me such distress with you being heroic? Legolas is more than capable of looking after himself with or without injury and making it back here to heal without you having to risk yourself." ::Thranduil just had that overbearing way about him, whether it was ruling the inferior Silvan folk of Avarin descent, or with regard to his children and their care. After all, he had effectively been both mother and father to her and still may have been overly protective because of Calwanel's departure, and in his daughter's eyes he saw Calwanel in them, oh how fair, perhaps even a worthy successor to Tinuviel, he so thought:: x
linwelos (6:57pm): What was I supposed to do ada? Leave them then before legolas came? ::if she had left before legolas had arrived it would be doubtful galuwen and Aearwen would be alive. She wasn't sorry for staying and helping her friends and family. She would look towards him with crystal blue eyes and wait for his reply to her words. She had a deep loyalty to her friends and family and if the valar decide it was her last time to draw breath then so be it. But abandoning those she held most dear she would not do whether her father liked such or not.:: -d-
Thranduil ---> Tauriel (7:05pm): ::Thranduil realized hisreaction was probably most irrational, very contrary to what his usual way was with dealing with family or others. It all traced back to his sundering from her mother that made him act as such sometimes, and for that he would nevertheless say:: "Like your mother you truly are in that respect. Sometimes I forget that you are as much her in temperament as well as her fair beauty. I still think you needlessly risked yourself but if you judge what you did to be right...well then I hardly can tell you what you can and cannot do anymore now..." ::Even if he still had hte inclination to be overbearing. He bowed head and would say:: "I will double archer company sentries and send them into the wood this eve to watch over the western eaves and go south toward Dol Guldur...for either from the Mountains or from that Hill of Sorcery would orcs have been compelled to attack." ::And as he left he he began to walk back for his throne room, but not before telling her;: "And I wouild prefer it if you not be among the sentries when they go out, but to remain here..." ::Leaving her side, and the healers int he meantime used the athelas and Sindarin chants to their greatest knowledge, by which Galuwen and Aearwen were healing nicely, and even Legolas was not so weary from the mormegil arrowpoints anymore. Fair and beautiful arrowmaiden Tauriel overheard everything. The red haired Silvan elf came to her good friend Lin's side and murmured:: "Sometimes I do not understand how you can tolerate his overbearing sense, Linwelos. You did a great thing of brevity and he is making you feel guilty as if you committed a reckless act..." x
linwelos (7:23pm): ::when he returned to the throne room she would finish her cup when another female voice caught her attention. Turning her head to see tauriel there she would reply to her.:: My rides within the woods help me to keep my sanity with how overbearing he can be. And whether he likes it or not I would make the same decision again if I'm in a situation like what occurred today. If I knew not how to wield a sword or bow then yes it would be reckless. But that is not the case. ::she would offer up a smile to the redhead which made her mind wander back to galuwen and how she faired with her sword wound.:: -d-
Tauriel (7:28pm): ::Tauriel was a proud warrior among the Silvan Nandorin folk of Mirkwood and bountily skillful with bow and arrow, so thus she always prized like gender to be valiant when need be, whichw as clearly what Linwelos took on. She came to her dear friend's side and murmured:: "Ye need not worry so of your friends. That athelas the healers now use was freshly obtained by me only upon the first part of the morning and therefore it is more potent than is typically used for wound. but what troubles me also is what troubles our Elvenking...this attack. Orcs have not waylaid our kind in at least 200 years which means that they must have received instruction or order to do so. It must be determined from whence they came, Linwelos." ::And a thought came to her head as she would then say:: "Care you to go into the wild again and seek this answer? For I am sure only waiting here on Galuwen and Legolas and Aearwen is driving you past your point of sanity..." x
linwelos (7:39pm): I would love to. ::she would say with a widening smile. Of course she would need to collect her weapons from the healing houses as she had not brought them with her. But she was definitely wanting to do something other than wait around for the healers to do their jobs in saving her brother and best friend. Cleaning up further could wait til after she came back with tauriel and their ride to see where and what these orcs had come for.:: -d-
Tauriel (7:43pm): ::Tauriel gave a fey grin of her own since she knew her dear friend was just going to go crazy if she continued to remain here awaiting Legolas and the others to have a full recovery, for waiting brought on unnecessary time to think, to ponder. No, Tauriel judged that her friend needed this to calm her already troubled hroa and fea concerning what happened tody, and perhaps with finding out just why the attack came, from where, and who was behind it, maye there could be a bit of release. Touching her good friend's shoulder, she said:: "Meet me at the entrance in a few moments then and together we shall find out what this elusive mystery indeed is!" x
linwelos (7:51pm): ::she would not quietly before departing to collect her things. Washing her hands once more before picking up the scabbard with sword as well as her bow and arrows. Heading to the stables for her trusted mount this time on a much easier trek than the one they had undertaken before. Placing the saddle on so that her sword would have a place to rest she would forgo the bridle as she had before. One hand resting within the greys mane as she would join tauriel at the entrance to the realm. Sword within reach on her left and bow and arrows at her back.:: -d-
Tauriel (7:58pm): ::Tauriel was jut like any archer of Mirkwood though, much preferring to be on foot rather than steed as they entered back into the grand forest together. Armed similar to Legolas, she kept a couple of saber like knives inplace strapped to he back while her quiver was over her shoulder. In her hand was her great bow which she could raise at a moment's notice should there be any trouble! And beside her great friend as the horse came to a trot, Tauriel kept up on her fleet footed boots. First following south by southwest down parallel of the Enchanted River before making a quick crossing of Mirkwood's mountains before traversing the now long disused Old Forest Road. Soon enough they were in realms no longer part of Thranduil's suzerainty but in control of Men. And towad the exact open air glen where the attack came did Tauriel follow her friend where on the ground there was a great mystery now. No dead orcs at all, even though they should be strewn about the grounda nd dead and mangled from battle. Tauriel's brow frazzled as she said:: "You are quite sure this is where the attack by the orcs came, dear friend?" x
linwelos (8:40pm): ::when she halted her mount a perplexed look came across her face. She was sure of the location due to natural landmarks. Moving her mount towards a uniquely shaped tree she would say to tauriel:: Legolas landed here before he was put on his horse and brought to the healing houses. ::turning the grey once more and moving a bit aways away she would tell her:: and this is where galuwen was injured. She had jumped from the tree and was coming to me when an orc stabbed her just as I shot it. ::the landmarks were unmistakable to her but where was the carnage that they had left? She didn't understand how it could look as if nothing had occurred there.:: -d-
Tauriel [8:46 P.M.]: "I believe you, dear friend..." ::Was the first thing Tauriel said, and of course she was not lying nor placating Linwelos, for she knew she realized where they were and would not just make something up. STill though, it just left one to wonder where the bodies had gone, all those countless orcs hewn by sword or pierced by arrow. Its like they had just off and walked, like they had arisen to life again. Tauriel leaned down to an indentation in the ground where one was and knew it to be true, but as her hand lay on the imprint she closed her eyes and said:: "Someone is about...or someones. They've taken these orcs..." ::And off int he distance toward one of the more surrounding woods, the sight of flame could be een, and of terrible stinking fires indicating the putrid odor of scorching orkish flesh. Tauriel got up instantly and raced for the scene on foot:: x
Linwelos [8:51 P.M.]: ::as tauriel took off in a run she spurred her mount forward to follow suit in the red head's wake as they headed towards the pile that was ablaze. of course the rancid odor given off by the orcs as their flesh burned was rather rough on the senses but something had to be done with the bodies beside let them rot. Bow held in one hand as her horse ran so that all she need to is take and arrow and knock it into place and it would be ready to fire. Watching the plumes of smoke rise into the sky. She wondered though, who else would be there? It was just she and the elves in the fight that she saw, there were no others until horn had met her ears which was one of their own as more of the guard arrived.:: -d-
Woodmen [8:58 P.M.]: ::And the strangers who were responsible for all this made their presence known as one voice from the trees could immediately be seen:: "You arrive late, elvish friends. We did not know you'd take the care to look upon your dead again and believed you wanted these orcs done away with...so we took the liberty of creating a great pyre to roast them into ash..." ::And from the trees ushered forth the mysterious people attached to that voice. Great mail armors and leather jerkins stood ont heir chests. Heavy boots on their feet and great helms upon their heads. At the forefront of them all was a barrel muscle chested one with hair of what seemed to be flowing golden honey and eyes brighter than Manwe Sulimo's sapphire encrusted scepter. He removed his horned helm and place dit on the ground as Tauriel knew these men immediately, knowing them to be the Woodmen of central Mirkwood. Lowering her bow as she said:: "Contrary, Woodman, my friend and here are on an errand of great importance, though I will admit your charring of their bodies hinders our investigation..." ::And more WOodmen came forth as this tall one, even taller than her, came up and said:: "And what investigation would that be, Silvan? For I am Aedelric, chieftain of the Woodmen...and if anyone has a right to investiate these orcs, it is I since they trod over my lands once again and cleaved many a maiden and child of my realm..." x
Linwelos [9:09 P.M.]: ::Linwelos would halt Leithianor as the men made their appearance. she had never encountered them in her rides before and had never heard her father mention them. As she watched Tauriel lower her weapon hers would remain at her side in one hand. Studying the features of the men for she would have to make a visit to her fathers library to see if anything was mentioned of these folk. Once Tauriel finished speaking she would say calmly as one hand resting upon her mounts neck:: Those orcs ambushed I and my friends here in the woods. We saught to see from whence they came and who was behind the attack. ::she doubted they would get many clues from charred bodies but she would let her words be heard and sit quietly for any return that would come.:: -d-
Woodmen [9:19 P.M.]: ::And Aedelric turned toward the source of that voice, so fair and beautiful it was. In the Red Book of Westmarch it would then be reported that like Beren Barahirson of old, the Woodman of Mirkwood had found his beloved 'Tinuviel', though not finding her singing or dancing as was the case with the earlier example. Aedelric looked upon the blonde headed Elf maiden upon noble steed and was most charmed by her. Where his heart would flutter off too he didn't know yet, but in that moment any fears he had of these elven visitors left his heart. and he walked toward her before putting hand up on the horse's neck to stroke a moment:: "We might help each other out then, Elf maiden, for it is a question I'm curious of too, and I might have some clues, for I bade the men strip their armors off and their weaponry before we burned them. The blackened hoard is in my camp already in my personal headquarters. Would thee and your redheaded Silvan companion care to accompany me back to my village and we may find some answers together?" ::from behind Tauriel was looking to her friend with a look of frankness, as if telling her they had nothing to fear from these Woodmen, that they were no Men of Darkness like the Swarthies or Easterlings or Haradrim of the South. These men could be trusted. Aedelric looked to Linwelos for her answer:: x
Linwelos [9:31 P.M.]: :: She saw Tauriels expression as the Chieftain of the Woodmen approached her and her mount. When he spoke she would reply to him in that soft almost dreamlike voice.:: We would. My brother and dear friend were wounded during the attack so learning anything as to where these orcs came would be of great help. ::Of course her father may or may not listen to the information but she kept out who she was for now. Her mount relaxing under the mans hand as it stroked the animals neck. He would most likely notice the heavy staining upon the dark green riding dress from Galuwens blood as she sought to slow the bleeding before getting her to aid. A more fitting clean up would happen when she returned to the the keep with Tauriel that eve. Letting crystal hues meet those of Aedelric and waiting his response or any Tauriel may have.:: -d-
Woodmen [9:44 P.M.]: "Your servant..." ::he would kindly then say to her, even if still Aedelric found it perplexing this fair blonde elf maiden would not tell him her name yet. And in a tongue not Sindarin nor Quenya he called out to the othes to make for their camp and, taking her horse softly by collar, began to lead her and her friend into the woods headed east by south. Tauriel followed close behind as it was only a few miles walk until they were in anothe enclosure of the forest, which was the main 'capital' of the Woodmen, with residences wafting between makeshift buildings amid larger trees, or homes upon the ground. Smithies and wood mills aplenty were at work and inns ando thers. Toward a central mound he took his company, upon which a grand home with the most golden of hay a sits roof stood, and it was learned later that this was Aedelric's home as he bade the visitors entrance into his fabulous halls, though here they were more of rough hewn stone and mortar than finely crafted of Thranduil's Halls. Servants aplenty welcomed his return as two squires came forth to help the elf maiden from her horse;: "Nothing to worry of, my squires are noble horse handlers related to the Rohirrim of the South and can handle your steed with ease..." ::Tauriel went forth inside as Aedelric offered the still nameless elf maiden his hand so seh could step down, and he called out in his Adunaic tongue for refreshment to be provided to their guests:: x
Linwelos [9:55 P.M.]: ::She would replace her bow as it would most likely not be needed and would use simple leg pressure to move her mount forward at a walk. Once they reached the main settlement of the Woodmen she would upon the differences in building structure compared to her fathers halls. not in a bad way of course just one of curiousity as she had never encountered those from Rohan within her fathers lands. As well as not venturing outside of Mirkwood much mostly due to her father of course. Once they stopped she would dismount from the horse with ease as her slender hand would rest within his. She would reply to Aedelric with a bit of soft laughter.::Leithianor can be a handful for some. Some of those within my fathers stable whom will not handle him. ::It had given her something to do as she grew up earning the horses trust and working with him. Hence how he behaved for her would be diffrent than most the other elves that took care of the horses within Mirkwood. ::She would give the grey a soft pat on the nose and say softly in her native tongue:: Sedho Leithianor.:: The only reason she had not spoken elvish was from unsuredness if the men knew it as well. She did not want to create a barrier language wise between them as they were hunting for the same answers regarding the orcs after all. Moving to follow Aedelric within to look through the armor of the now dead orcs:: -d-
Aedelric [10:30 P.M.]: ::Truth be told when they heard the language they were stunned by its beauty, for none among the Woodmen were fluent in such tongue, for they were not Dunedain. They were descended of the Middle Men, those of the Edain that had refused the journey to Numenor when it was raised otu of great and wide Belegaer. It was surreal for Aedelric to hear it as well but not surprising, for were the Elves not totally akin to the Adunaic tongue as his people were? Nevertheless, Westron was probably the best for converse here, and soon a couple of large tables were made int he larger parlor of his Longhouse, and the old blackened mormegil blades and dark armors were set on one while another was set with fare one would find of the Woodmen, bowlso f golden mead to drink, wild cheeses and vineyard grapes and cram-cakes. No meat served, mostly because Woodmen knew enough that Elves were not eaters of flesh and suffered non who ate it, so it was best to just keep respect here. Tauriel ushered forth to the table first as Aedelric took her hand and said:: "From what we know so far, My Lady, we can tell that these orcs were nto of the Misty Mountains, for their armor seemed recently forged as were their blades and arrows." ::Bringing them to the blackened assortment that lay at one table as he kindly let her hand go:: "So my conclusion is they cannot be of the Blackened Pit of Moria. My guess is from Dol Guldur and the evil that the Necromancer makes there..." ::Still an ever presently strange figure, this Necromancer. Aedelric picked up breastplate of black armor and looked over it closely:: "Do look over what you can...any clues we can find will be here..." x
Linwelos [10:48 P.M.]: ::she would notice the looks of the others when she spoke and realized her choice in initially speaking the common tongue had been a wise decision. Moving quietly into the area where the armors were kept that they had taken once the orcs had been killed. While she was no expert blacksmith she could tell the pieces she saw lacked signs of use indicating that indeed they had been freshly struck and made. She had never ventured to Dol Guldur before in any of her rides for she had heard talk of her father and the not pleasant things that dwelled there so she was wise to stay away as she grew up. She would be leary to travel there alone but with others if it meant getting answers she would indeed go much to her fathers dismay if he ever found out of course. Saying to him softly:: I remember as i grew up my father used to speak of a darkness that dwelled there but never went further than that when i was about. ::Some aspects of magic intrigued her since there was naught much else for her to do behind her fathers walls save for the rides she would take on Leithianor and the things she had learned from some of the elves within the healing houses.:: -d-
Aedelric ---> Tauriel [11:00 P.M.]: ::Treatign herself toa cup of mead, Tauriel would inspect weapons and armors too curiously before Aedelric would pick up one breastplate and said:: "the only thing that is consistent among the armours is this...this...red eye." ::And emblazoned across the black armor in reddish hue that seemed almost akin to blood was a lidless eye. Of course to a young Woodman he'd not know one bit of the significance of this, and when Tauriel looked upon it she dropped the bowl she had and instantly broke out into Sindarin tongue in horror and waved her hand away;: "Ai! Ai!" ::Aedelric would frown and say:: "You know this symbol?" ::showing itt o Tauriel who seemed to back up and said:: "Gorthaur! Gorthaur!" ::But that name meant nothing, and he looked to Linwelos for an answer as Tauriel put her hand over her chest in horror at that. The answer was quite clear...these Orcs were of Mordor with the Eye of Sauron as their banner! But...Sauron was dead, wasn't he?:: x
Linwelos [11:10 P.M.]: ::when she heard Tauriel exclaim her sunkissed head would turn quickly. as it was evident the red head knew something for the tone in her voice spoke volumes to the Princess. She would turn back to Aedelric and translate the name Tauriel had uttered. Gorthar is another name of Sauron. ::She was perplexed because by all accounts she had heard and read of he was dead after the ring had been cut from his hand by the mortal Isildur. Thought it begged to wonder was it all deception with this dark force amassing in Dol Guldur? It would be interesting to hear her fathers take on such and would ask him,:: Might we take one of these breastplates back with us? :: Giving them proof to what he would be learning of so it didnt seem like a wild tale especially if she was present when he learned the information.:: -d-
Aedelric [11:18 P.M.]: ::Gorthaur, Sauron. It sounded like stuff of legend, an old terror who once slew men and elves before some great bit of jewelry was smited forth from his finger, if he remembered the tales of the bards alright. How could any of it be true? But when finally Tauriel verbally forgave Aedelric for her outburst and when het urned to the blonde one, he nodded and said:: "You may take one in your care to bring to Thranduil's court so that you may know the truth of this evil...whosoever it is must be carrying on this...Sauron's evil in his name...perhaps that's the true design of this evil sorcerer in Dol Guldur...and..." ::To which suddenly as he was ready to hand the breastplate to Tauriel for safekeeping back to the Halls it suddenly becgan to disintegrate into blackened dust! And so did the mormegil swords and arrows until all of it was a big pile of ashen heap there, absolutely useless. In shock, Aedelric held his hand open as the blackened soot fell from his fingers and he said:: "What kind of devilry is this...?!" ::For evil though the orcs were, even their dimwitted minds couldn't create sorcery enough to make such weaponry disintegrate!:: x
Linwelos [11:24 P.M.]: ::she would look towards Tauriel as she apologized for her outburst as her mind wondered what they had just stumbled upon made her question what she had read and heard of growing up. Was this dark enemy truly dead or was there something else in his guise seeking to wreck havock on the people of the wood. She watched not only the breastplate but all the weapons and armor the Woodmen had taken fall to nothing but black soot. Even her eyes widened because such didn't seem physically possible. She would say to both Tauriel and to Aedelric and say to them softly:: What dark power is amassing in Dol Guldur must have a hand in this for neither men nor elves can simply turn a pile of armor into nothing but soot. -d-
Tauriel ---> Aedelric [11:32 P.M.]: "These are terrible tidings indeed, something that the Elvenking must know immediately..." ::Tauriel said immediately before she said:: "I am loathe to leave now that we have a lead int his investigation but my lord must know at least that we've an idea where this attack may have originated from and what next we must do. Friend Linwelos..." ::she suddenly spake the name of her friend whom Aedelric had been trying in vaint o know:: "Would you remain in the care of noble Adelric and the Woodmen while I rush word back to your father of what we've learned? Perhaps you two can seek out wisdom as I give council to him..." ::Aedelric would say:: "Your friend the elvenking's daughter has protection of my realms should she choose to stay here while you speed word to your lord. We may not be Dunedain but we are still hardy warrior folk who can protect those we must...she is in good hands here if she chooses to stay..." ::Aedelric turning toher for her answer:: x
Linwelos [11:38 P.M.]: I shall stay for my father doesn't know i'm here with Tauriel. ::she would say to Aedelric. She wouldn't mention the lecture she got after the ambush Thranduil had given her. If it looked like the red head had gone alone it would be easier for her to sneak back later on. Unless of course her father had eyes upon her from those within the realm. She kept her relation to the King hush as she wanted to learn more of the men before revealing such but if Tauriel felt it safe to reveal it then she would be safe with them in her abscence. Running a finger through the black soot that once was a pile of orcish armor and looking at the dark substance offset her fair skin. Saying to Tauriel as she would prepare to leave.:: Wanye varna , mellon nîn (Travel safe, my friend). ::Knowing that Tauriel wouldnt mention that she had traveled with her to get her mind off of the condition of her brother as well as Galuwen as the healers did their best to tend their wounds from battle.:: -d-
Aedelric [11:50 P.M.]: ::Tauriel nodded to her friend respectfully and made all haste to get back to the north where Thranduil's Halls are to let him know, leaving herliege in presence of the Chieftain of the Woodmen, who curiously watched her now as the blackened ash stood in stark contrast to her otherwise beautiful alabaster flesh. Taking a cram cake, Aedelric took a bite of the tasteless but nutritious confection and watched her in all curiosity, for while he had many dealings, both economic and military wise in alliance witht he Woodland Elves, she seemed different to him. Her hair and skin and general look decried something greater, not of Silvan origin. He left the matte rin his hmind for now not to pursue further. Instead, eh simply said:: "My quarters are yours, Elf-Maiden. I am sorry I did not forsee such a curse to be upon orkish mail or else we'd have had a better time investigating this attack on your realm. Perhaps counsel with Radagast of Rhosgobel might be in order to help us..." ::A good thouht indeed, for Radagast was one ofthe Istari, wise wizards sent to help the free peoples of Middle-Earth.:: x
Linwelos [12:01 A.M.]: Thank you, Aedelric. None of us could have expected such to occur much less that the armor would disentigrate as it did. ::Such did give her an uneasy feeling especially if it was indeed the work of this Necromancer. Was he trying to rebirth the Dark Lord to bring about destruction to the peoples of Middle Earth? When he spoke of Radagast she would reply to him:: A wizard definitely could give us some insights since the wizards are ancient and wise. ::she would move to take some of the mead and take a slow drink of it as she had with her father earlier in the day before their discussion upon leaving the healing houses. some of his words still irked her. but for her sake it would be best as always just to put them out of mind for she knew her father wasn't going to change most likely in that regards trying to keep her hidden from sight and away from harm. Unless that harm came upon the Keep itself then she wondered what her father would do.:: -d-
Aedelric [12:20 A.M.]: "The trouble with wizards like the Brown Radagast is that you never know quite sure when they will be home...after all, the Greycloak one hardly ever stays home in one place and Radagast often is traveling with animals. On the morrow we shall make a trip to there and see if he can give us any guidance, for now I think the utmost thing is to see to my own border's defense as well as your safekeeping while your friend spreads knowledge of what we learned here..." ::He took a bite of wild cheese with his cram and would say:: "Come, your grace. My halls are yours and you can treat yourself ally ou wish. After all we know something more than we did only an hour ago and in time we'll know the truth of what assails us." ::And he brought her to his immediate throne hall where chairs sat about a large round table where the food was brought to:: "Alas I wish to know more of my finely esteemed guest, but you appear to be no Silvan Elf from your looks...for there is a grace of lighta bout you...unexplained, that I do not see in the eyes of the Silvans..." ::of course he couldn't know that technicalyl she was of the Eldar in that her ancestors took up the call to head to Valinor at first but tarried to bcome the Sindar of Beleriand:: x
Linwelos [12:30 A.M.]: ::She knew it would take time to get to the bottom of the attack and that everything wouldn't be learned in one day. But they were one step further than they had been which was a good start. Though she worried about what her fathers response to Tauriels news would be. Would he be so quick as to jump to conclusions as he had with her after the attack. With the King one could never quite be sure. She would turn her attention to Aedelric and follow him towards the throne hall to one of the tables and would take a seat as she would reply to his words with a soft smile.:: My father always said that I took more looks from my mother than I did him. ::about the only thing that matched she and her father were their blonde hair and blue eyes. She figured that was one reason why he kept her away like he did as she was his last reminder of his wife who sailed across the seas. Taking another sip from bowl as crystal blue hues would glance up towards his face as he took in her words:: -d-
Aedelric [12:43 A.M.]: ::As he was not Dunedain he was not as cultured as the descendants of now fallen Numenor and thus didn't know as much about the elvish cultures, their sundering, or history at least past basic information and reportings. So of course he had no knowledge of her upbringing or her parentage or all the Greenleaf family had behind it. Taking a long sip of the mead that he had in his cup, he would say to her:: "Us Woodmen are an offshoot of people with whom our histories are all linked. Far to the north int he shadows of the Grey Mountains were the old Rhovanion kings birthed, the Northmen. From them sprang so many kindreds. Woodmen like I took to these parts. The Beornings, when they still thrived, took to the Towers of Mist out west. The Eotheod became great charmers of horses and now control the great kingdom of Rohan while others from what I know even were kings of Gondor far to the south." ::turning to her:: "The point is, there is often much we can tell about our upbringing from family and kindred...where we have been, where we might be going. i have always been content to kep my folk in peace here in Mirkwood...but with this new shadow lingering it makes me wonder if that peace is coming to an end soon." ::To which he then said:: "Your Grace, you appear to still be quite restless. Is the matter of the orkish attack upon your friendly company this day still troubling you so?" x
Linwelos [1:02 A.M.]: ::She listened as he would speak of the history behind his kin and how they had branched out into different places within Middle Earth. Of them the ones she'd heard of more had been the Horselords of Rohan as their borders were close to that of Mirkwood. When he spoke to her those hues would meet his own as she would reply:: More worried for my dear friend and brother both of which were seriously wounded. The outcome could have been far different if i had not been there when things occurred.::She and Galuwen had been friends for considerable length of time the two were as close as sisters could be even though they were in no way related. The 2 often rode together as they had that day before the attack had occurred, and of the 2 she had been injured worse than Legolas most likely. Not that being thrown around and ending up in a tree was good for ones body but a sword wound could have easily ended her friends life.:: -d-
Aedelric [1:15 A.M.]: "It is quite a natural thing, to deal with one's companions harmed in battle. The Darkness ever remains and even I have seen countless friends harmed from an attack oft he goblins from the Misty Mountains. I have faith that your brethren are just fine though and...wait..." ::Then it suddenly dawned on him. And he reacheda hand over and put his hand to her china nd raised her face. He studied her a moment and immediately smiling he said:: "You're a Greenleaf...I thought there was familiarity and I have discovered it, haven't I? You bear eyes of similarity to the one that is Legolas, and I have fought many a goblin of the Mountains by his side and you've the look of the Elvenking upon your face!" ::Of coursehe had never been aware that Thranduil had had a daughter:: "Then again much has changed...for it seems Thranduil doesn't enterain ideaso f having us visit his Halls like we used to back in the day..just like he prefers to make business with my brethren from afar, the Lake-Men of Esgaroth, from a distance...but you are a Greenleaf..it is plain on your face, I see!" x
Linwelos [1:25 A.M.]: ::she would snack on one of the cheeses that were upon the table when she felt his hand upon her slender chin raising her gaze to meet his. She would reply with a soft smile as his gaze studied her own briefly:: Aye, Legolas is indeed my brother. He is one of the best archers within my fathers realm. ::She would not pull away from the gentle touch of his hand along her face but instead let him keep hold to search those familiar eyes now to him. Though even compared to her brother her eyes held a kindness to them that came out in her brother more than it did the King. No doubtedly from things that had occurred within the past which she had no experienced. It was within her heart to be kind just as her mother had been before she sailed across the seas. That was when her fathers demeanor had changed greatly.:: -d-
Aedelric [1:35 A.M.]: ::So gentle was the touch of her face that it reminded him just what fates diverged between his kind and her kind, hers allowing to be eternally youthful within the confines of Arda, and he and his kind fated to wither away like dying flowers. He gently pulled his fingers back and would then smile and bow his head:: "Your Majesty then it is most pleasant to have you here but I will admit ignorance to not realizing Thranduil ever having a daughter, for I was under the impression that Legolas was his only child." ::He would then sit back and explain to her:: "The last time any of my Woodman kin ever stepped foot into the Halls of your father was during the time of my own grandfather, so I will admit there's much I do not know of what goes on in Thranduil's Realm anymore except that occasionally in his adventures Legolas, if he so chances, could use a hand, and I willingly give it since his brevity is cherished among us all. But now I can say with certainty that you have the everlasting love of teh Woodmen as well..." ::smiling to her:: "And I will see it as a personal mission of mine now to help discover the plot behind this attack on your friend and brother if it is the last thing I must do before my Doom claims me..." x
Linwelos [1:45 A.M.]: He is the one most seen for he is far older than I.:: she would say with a soft laugh before adding to her words:: By elven standards i am still very young so that could be why the last time you were within fathers halls you did not know of me. ::those dreamlike words softly spoken as her gaze would meet his for a time and returning the smile that was given. adding to her words:: I'm very grateful for your aid in helping learn more as to why this attack occurred. And i feel sorrow for the loss of your own people who were harmed from them as well. ::For a race that wasn't gifted with lengthy lives as her kin were those that were felled from what he had said upon their arrival to the mound of burning orc meant life had been lost that had barely had time to live upon the Earth.:: -d-
Aedelric [1:53 A.M.]: "We are a hardy folk yet, you will come to learn, fair elven Princess...whose name I still do not know by the way.." ::He smiled to her with a cheshire cat grin to show thtat evena fter all, she still never introduced herself to him. But he added at that:: "We may not have longevity of the Dunedain of either the Northern Chieftains in Eriador or of the great knights and paladins of Gondor nor do we have immortality as you do, but very proud we are in accepting what death is. For it was taught to us long ago that it is not to be feared, for it is folly to believe de ath an end..but instead an entrance toward something greater that none of us yet know." ::He smiled and would then delight in more of the eating of the fine food here that he had set out for her:: "Please make your self comfortable and at home in my home, daughter of Thranduil. Ask all that you are curious of and all answers you shall have. And take care that the mystery of this Necromancer and the orcs that bare this Red Eye will be uncovered." ::And he raised his cup to her:: "And remember that on an empty stomach nothing can be achieved either..." ::winking to her, remarking how even just a brief pause can help put things to perspective:: x
Linwelos [2:06 A.M.]: ::Tauriel had spoken her name before her leaving but she would introduce herself to him formally as they sat and spoke over the food that had been set out for them. Though from his apparent awe at her native tongue she would speak that first before translating it into the common tongue for him.::Im Linwelos Thranduiliel. Ta seasa an menta le Aedelric. (I'm Linwelos daughter of Thranduil. It is a pleasure to meet you Aedelric) ::Those melodic and dreamlike words meeting his ears as they shared food and drink around the table within his throne room. Crystal hues studying his features as she would speak those words so effortlessly. Taking in his reaction to her words curiously:: -d-
Aedelric [2:14 A.M.]: ::That language. What about it was so mesmerizing? He couldn't just put his finger on it. It was a beautiful lilting rolling of consonants inp erfect harmony with vowels and seemed perfect, not the rough sounding lilts of his native Adunaic tongue. He actually closed his eyes a moment to just hear it repeated in his mind before he said:: "Truly esteemed a people can be if it can hold an inferior people like me to absolutely hang on every word that is said in their native language." ::He then said:: "It is ap leasure to know you Linwelos Greenleaf and an honor to have you at my table, even if I wish it could have been in happier circumstances than merely just an orc attack to bring us together..." ::And thereafter he conversed at length with her over the food that was laid out, feeling surprisingly relaxed in her presence. But after a good eating he suggested a walk, and into the now darkening forestry immediately surrounding his village he took her. Walking by hr side her would say:: "I find it so hard to believe you were unaware of my kindred's existence prior to your coming here. I'd have thought Thranduil would be most forthcoming of the Men of the Vales of Anduin and of Rhovanion to you..." x
Linwelos [2:22 A.M.]: ::the smile would widen on her face at his response to her words spoken. Replying to his words:: Indeed the circumstances of our meeting are not the best but perhaps that is the Valars intent.:: She honestly thought perhaps in some strange twisted fate it occurred for a reason as she was rarely out save for her rides with how her father seemed apparent to keep her hidden away as his memento of her mother. Once they were finished eating she would join him in standing and make their way out into the darkness. Replying to his words:: My father taught me of some history of the Earth up until my mother sailed to the West. For i am in likeness to her a great deal according to him. He was never the same after she sailed across the oceans. At least that was her thoughts behind her fathers actions. Whether that be the case or not as to why he was so protective over her other than the fact she was his last born she didn't know.:: -d-
Aedelric [2:32 A.M.]: "Ah the West, yes. From what the Chieftains of the Dunedain have taught me, those are the Undying Lands where the gods of this world dwell, and that many of your kind answered the summons. And if memory serves...a remnant of those people tarried behind so much and eventaully wound up in lands far to the west of here and here sundered fromt hose that did make the holy journey...for they that lived in the West were fully known as Eldar...whereas you are Sindar...a Grey-Elf..." ::He smiled hoping he had his histories and etymology right. For an uneducated man and entirely illiterate mant hough, he had quite the voracious memory!:: x
Linwelos [2:45 A.M.]: ::She would nod as they walked side by side. a portion of the breeze playing with the ends of those long strands of her sunkissed hair as she would reply to him warmly:: Indeed you are correct Aedelric. I've often wondered what the West is really like for Mother to leave like she did. ::She wasn't planning on taking that trip herself for she felt that there was more instore for her life within Middle Earth than sailing West. What of course the Valar had not shown her yet but would no doubtedly come in time. Elegantly pointed ears listening to the sounds emitted in the darkness around them as they would walk. Admiring the freckle of stars glittering within the sky casting off their white light against the darkened clouds before turning her gaze to him:: -d-
Aedelric [2:52 A.M.]: "It must be an amazing place. I admit I know so little, and in your presence being less than Dunedain I must be akin to a child then with how little I know and how young of age I am compared to you. That is why just even to hear your tongue is an amazing thing indeed...and your presence something to be cherished..." ::To which he boldly took her hand and raised it to his cheek to feel the softness of her flesh again. With a deep sigh he then lowered her hand but unconsciously still held it in his:: "I believe that may be the design of these gos y et...to have you play a part here...already by some strange design it has brought our paths to crossing...and with good fortune we will get to the bottom of our troubles by tomorrow..." ::And under the dark forest bits and parts of the night sky shone overhead, the hallowed stars of Varda to provide light, did he look into her eyes with fondness, and here, probably without thinking, he simply said:: "Now I truly understand how Beren One-Hand of old beheld when he first set ueyes upon Tinuviel of Doriath..." ::only realizing what he then said as he looked down rather lamely, wondering if his affections could be anymore obvious:: x

Legolas awoke, the air smelt of Athelas, how long had he been out? He tried to get out of the bed he lay but couldn't, he was drowsy still and felt horrible. A healer walked in and started talking to him, but Legolas didn't understand a thing that she was saying. All if a sudden Legolas fell back asleep.
-Celius (an elven tween, of the Woodland Realm)-
Celius was hidden in a small hedge, a fox was lined up in his sights, he notched an arrow slowly, drew and fired. He watched his silverthorn arrow slam into the small fox, sending it sprawling 3 feet backwards. Celius moved over to his kill and plucked out his arrow. "Reusable." He spoke aloud. Celius was the winner of the Mirkwood archery competition the previous year, and the next one was today, with Legolas out, he knew it would be Linwelos representing the family this year, if she isn't too grieved over her brother. It was the previous year in which Celius won the silverthorn arrows, the most powerful arrows of all. Celius turned and walked slowly back to the city when he heard something, it wasn't much but it was there, he turned around and climbed a tree. Seconds later a party of Orcs came rushing into the clearing. "I smell elfling!" Yelled one, seemingly the leader. "I smell she-elf!" Yelled another, Celius immediately shot him dead and called out. "I am not she-elf you little Orc son of Shelob!" The Orcs looked up and regretted not having archers, so they ran over to cut the tree down. Celius shot them as the came near, but there were so many. Just as the tree was about to fall he jumped to the next tree over and continued. This continued for nearly the whole Orc party. "Fall back!" The Orc Captain ordered. And they did so. After they were out of sight Celius climbed down and ran as fast as he could to the city. He ran up to the palace, but king Thranduil wasn't there, only Lady Galuwen. "My Lady! Orcs! Orcs follow me!" He cried. Celius' blond hair moved with his body and his purple eyes glimmered.
